Noah — Nuh in Arabic — is one of the earliest and most important prophets in Islam, often counted among the five prophets of greatest resolve (alongside Abraham, Moses, Jesus, and Muhammad ﷺ).567
A call to the one God
Like every prophet, Noah's message was to worship God alone:
"We had certainly sent Noah to his people, and he said, 'O my people, worship Allah; you have no deity other than Him.'"

Years of patience
Noah is portrayed as a model of patience, calling his people for a very long time despite their rejection:
"And We certainly sent Noah to his people, and he remained among them a thousand years minus fifty years."

The ark and the flood
When his people persisted in rejection, God commanded Noah to build an ark and to carry the believers and pairs of living creatures to safety as a great flood came:
"[So it was] until when Our command came and the oven overflowed, We said, 'Load upon it of each [creature] two mates and your family … and those who have believed.'"
